The Project
The Dover Methodist Church and Fellowship Hall project combines the renovation of a historic 19th-century church with the addition of a dynamic new fellowship space, primed to be a premier wedding venue in upper Maryland.
This project promises to balance honoring tradition with creating a space for the modern community and celebration.
- Phase 1 will focus on the historic church, a one-and-a-half-story stone structure with a front gable roof, that will be carefully renovated to maintain and enhance its unique character while addressing the needs of today’s worshipers. This will include upgrading the buildings systems, finishes, structural components and accessibility upgrades, as well as a new feature entry front and gathering courtyard.
- Phase 2 will focus on the adjacent Fellowship Hall, a new 2,500–3,000 square foot buildings which will serve the church and its community as a premier event space, featuring a full catering kitchen and ballroom, bridal suites and support spaces, as well as an picturesque outdoor garden for exterior events.
